Update: Driveway Closure at 2296 Eglinton Avenue East

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the ongoing works to build the LRT system along Eglinton Avenue East, crews will continue work with stage 2 at Massey Creek. The western driveway at 2296 Eglinton Avenue East will be closed as early as October 2nd and last for one (1) week. The eastern driver at 2300 Eglinton Avenue property will remained closed for four (4) months. The closures are required to carry out the construction works in a safe and prompt manner. 

During the closure, vehicles will be directed to use the accessible western driveway along Eglinton Avenue. This can be seen in the figure below:

Hours of Work

• The western driveway at 2296 will be closed on October 2nd and will last for approx. one (1) week.

• The east driveway closure at 2300 Eglinton Avenue East took place on September 20th and will remain closed for approximately four (4) months. 

• This work is permitted between the hours of 7 am and 11pm Monday through Sunday.

• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion. 

• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

• The center driveway will remain open at all times and access will be maintained to both plazas.

• Signage will be installed to direct vehicular traffic and customers to the accessible driveway

• CTSC will continue to make efforts to ensure that any impacts of these closures have been minimized on the pedestrians and the surrounding community.

• CTSC will work diligently to reduce the duration of the closure and will ensure effective communication channels with pedestrians, property owners, and the neighborhood.
