Through Summer 2021, crews at Leaside Station will continue to work extended construction hours at the station entrances and in the station box below Eglinton Avenue. Construction activities include waterproofing, placement of rebar and steel, formwork installations, mechanical electrical works, and concrete pours.
Construction activities are currently taking place on a 24-hour basis Monday to Saturday at the Main and Secondary Entrances. Work at the station entrances is currently taking place above street level. To minimize disruption, the period between 11:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. will be reserved for form-work installations and associated site maintenance works. On-site mitigation measures will remain in place to minimize disruption caused by this work.
Occasionally, large concrete pours and deliveries are required to take place at the Main and Secondary Entrance sites during the early morning period. Notice will be provided in advance of early morning works starting before 6:00 a.m. Please carefully review “What to Expect” section for more information.
What to Expect
Overnight work will take place in the Station Box below Eglinton Avenue, as well as above ground at the Main and Secondary Entrances. Occasional overnight noise from construction activities, including crane use, hammering, and material loading. Site lighting is required and will be positioned away from residential properties. Crews will endeavor to minimize disruption as much as possible.
Hours of Work
Construction will take place 24-hours a day Monday to Saturday and between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.
Extended construction hours will continue through Summer 2021.
To minimize disruption, the period between 11:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. will be reserved for form-work installations and associated site maintenance works.
Traffic and Pedestrian Details
No changes to the current traffic configuration and pedestrian routes are expected, as a result of this work.
