What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday, August 2, 2022, crews at Avenue Station will continue road restoration works on Eglinton Avenue, west of Duplex Avenue. To facilitate this work, westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane west of Duplex Avenue. This work is expected to take one (1) month to complete. Upon completion of this work, construction will shift to the south side of Eglinton Avenue and traffic will shift to the north side.

The new Eglinton Connects streetscape and cycle track will be implemented continuously between Avenue Road and Holly Street. Crews will work Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. with overnight work as required.  As part of this work, the existing roadway, sidewalk, and any street furniture and trees will be removed. For more information on the City of Toronto’s Eglinton Connects Streetscape and Cycle Track Design, visit www.toronto.ca/eglinton.

Occasionally, use of a hydro-vacuum truck, jackhammer and/or compaction roller will be required.  Significant traffic and pedestrian changes will be in effect. Please review the complete notice or visit http://www.thecrosstown.ca/  for more information.

What to Expect

Noise from construction activity, including trucks, breaking of concrete and asphalt, utility work, and use of heavy equipment can be expected.
