What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, May 9 through to Friday, May 13, 2022, and on Monday, May 16 through to Friday, May 20, 2022, crews at Laird Station will be performing electrical works on Eglinton Avenue East by the Main and Secondary Entrance. To facilitate this work safely, lane reductions will be in place on Eglinton Avenue East by the Main and Secondary entrance. This work will take approximately three (8) days to complete and will be carried out in three phases (refer to maps). Please carefully read the details below.

What to Expect

Expect delayed while travelling through the area. Noise from construction activities can be expected. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, for the duration of this work.

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Monday, May 9 through to Friday, May 13, 2022, and Monday, May16 through to Friday, May 20, 2022.

o   Phase One: One (1) day
o   Phase Two: One (1) day
o   Phase Three: One (2) days

  • Construction activities are expected to take place on Monday – Friday between 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Work may be longer or shorter than expected.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Phase One: Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane west of Laird Drive.

  • Phase Two: Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane east of Laird Drive.
  • Phase Three: Northbound traffic on Laird Drive will be reduced to two lanes south of Eglinton Avenue East.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • Phedesrians will be safely rerouted around the work zone.

  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.
