What Work is Taking Place?

Leaside station is required to do a refresh to the existing crosswalk painting at the Bayview Ave and Eglinton Ave E intersection. Due to the volumes of traffic in the area and existing construction set up reducing available lanes, these works will be completed overnight.

In an effort to mitigate noise where possible, CTS has installed a broadband back up alarm on the vehicle that will be used rather than the usual tonal alarm, which will greatly reduce the spread of the sound while maintaining safety.

  • Work is expected to take 3 hours plus set-up and take-down before and after the work.
  • Work will occur during one (1) overnight period (11 p.m. and 7 a.m.) on August 11 (Friday night to Saturday morning).
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
