What Work is Taking Place?
From Monday September 14 – Friday September 18, 2020 crews at Leaside Station will work overnight to reinstate the road decking at Eglinton Avenue East and Bayview Avenue. Work will be performed throughout all areas of the intersection, with crews occupying one lane on Eglinton Avenue East and Bayview Avenue, during each night of work.
What to Expect
Overnight noise from construction activity can be expected, while this work takes place, as well as staging of construction equipment within the work zones. Site lighting will be required and will be positioned away from residential properties. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
Hours of Work
- Monday September 14 – Friday September 18, 2020
- Work is expected to take place Monday – Friday; 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic and Pedestrian Details
- Eglinton Avenue East and Bayview Avenue will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place.
- Additional turn restrictions will be implemented at the intersection, while this work takes place.
- Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while this work takes place.
- Pedestrian routes are expected to remain the same, while this work takes place.
