What Work is Taking Place?

In late October, crews began relocating an existing watermain in the vicinity of Dufferin Street, Eglinton Avenue West and Vaughan Road to make way for support of excavation (shoring) activities on the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue West.

To minimize the impact to the affected properties and traffic, this work is being carried out overnight on several dates between October 30, 2017 and January 2018. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street will be reduced to one lane only while this work takes place.

Hours of Work

·

Overnight work will take place between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. on the following dates:

Tuesday, November 28 through Friday, December 1, 2017

What to Expect

  • Lane reductions on Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street will be required.
  • Noise from construction activity as well as site lighting can be expected.
  • Pedestrians and vehicle traffic can expect delays when traveling through the intersection.

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street will be reduced to one lane only with traffic alternating in each direction controlled by a Paid Duty Officer or flag person
