What Work is Taking Place?

Crews at Keelesdale Station continue with bus loop construction behind the station's Main Entrance. On Monday, October 5 for approximately six weeks, crews began the construction of the retaining wall, on the east side of the bus loop, parallel to 1860 Keele Street. The new retaining wall will fall within the station's footprint. The affected property is 1860 Keele Street.The private fencing and walkway along the property line fall within the Crosslinx Transit Solutions property easement. Crews will close off the private walkway for the duration of this activity for safety purposes.


What to Expect

Crews are building a rock embankment to serve as a retaining wall. Noise levels will remain the same as regular construction activity. There are no expected vibrations from this activity. 



  • Crews continue to work as early as 6:00am until 11:00pm
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion
  • This work may take longer or shorter than expected.



  • All current traffic restrictions will remain in place
  • No impacts to TTC bus service



  • The private walkway along the south side of 1860 Keele Street will remain temporarily closed.
  • Access to businesses and properties will be maintained
