WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

On Monday October 22, crews will implement new traffic staging at Chaplin Station in order to perform sanitary sewer connection works on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West.  During this traffic stage, the southeast sidewalk will be closed between Chaplin Crescent and Russell Hill Road, and pedestrians will be rerouted south of Eglinton Avenue through the laneway.

Starting Tuesday October 23, crews will begin installation of special piles on the north side of Eglinton Avenue near the Main Entrance site.  Special piles are large in depth and size, and require longer drilling and pouring times than regular piles. There are six (6) special piles to be completed during this phase and it is expected to take two (2) weeks to complete.

While every effort will be made to complete the special pile installations before 11:00PM, please expect that there may be some instances that work will go later.
