What Work is Taking Place?

In June 2016, crews began SUE investigation in the vicinity of Kennedy Station along Eglinton Avenue East between Kennedy Road and Midland Avenue, including North Service Road, to determine the location and depth of existing utilities.

This work continues, and similar work will begin at Transway Crescent and South Service Road.

Upcoming SUE Investigation

Crews will drill and hydro-vac overtop of existing utilities within the boulevard and roadway, then a surveyor will examine the utilities to obtain coordinates for design purposes. Once the work is complete, roads will be backfilled and restored accordingly.

SUE investigation on Transway Crescent and South Service Road will begin as early as August 22, 2016 and will take approximately one week to complete

SUE investigation will be conducted between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances

What to Expect

Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear noise caused by core drills and hydro-vac trucks.

Traffic Details

While most of the work is contained within boulevards, intermittent lane reductions on the South Service Road and Transway Crescent will be required to access utilities within the roadway.

Pedestrian and property access will be maintained.

As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
