What Work is Taking Place?

Through late July 2022, crews at Avenue Station will continue utility installations and road and sidewalk restoration works at the Main Entrance site. To complete this work, lane closures on Avenue Road will remain in place until approximately Friday, July 15, 2022. Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane at the Main Entrance until late July 2022. For more information, please carefully review the details below.

What to Expect

Construction activities will include road and sidewalk restoration, electrical works, and traffic and street light installations. Wayfinding signage, fencing, and traffic barriers will be in place to delineate the work zones. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be in place while traffic changes are being implemented. Noise from construction activity can be expected. Expect delays while traveling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

  • Utility installations and road restoration works will continue at Avenue Station’s Main Entrance through late July 2022
  • Lane closures on Avenue Road will remain in place until approximately Friday, July 15, 2022
  • Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane at the Main Entrance until late July 2022
  • This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Southbound traffic on Avenue Road will be reduced to one through lane north of Eglinton Avenue West
  • Northbound traffic on Avenue Road will be reduced to one through lane north and south of Eglinton Avenue West
  • Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one westbound lane at the Main Entrance

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • The sidewalk on the west side of Avenue Road, north of Eglinton Avenue West, will be closed until approximately Friday, July 15, 2022
  • Pedestrians will be diverted east around the work zone via a temporary walkway
