UPDATE: Utility Works at 15 Gervais Drive - As early as Thursday, February 2, 2023

What Work is Taking Place? 

As early as Thursday, February 2, 2023, crews will be performing utility works on the fire hydrant located at 15 Gervais Drive. Work is expected to take place on Monday to Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. This work will take approximately two (2) weeks to complete. Significant traffic and pedestrian changes will be in effect while this work takes place. For more information, please review the complete notice or visit www.thecrosstown.ca.

What to Expect

Work zones will be erected on Gervais Drive. Concrete barriers, fencing, and signage, will be in place to delineate the work zones. Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the area. Access to Gervais Drive from Eglinton Avenue East will be restricted while this work takes place. 

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Thursday, February 2, 2023, for approximately two (2) weeks.

• Construction activities are expected to take place on Monday - Friday between 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

• Work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

• This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• The eastbound left and westbound right turns from Eglinton Avenue East onto Gervais Dr will be restricted.

• Two lanes of southbound traffic on Gervais Drive will be maintained.

• The left turn from Gervais Drive onto Eglinton Avenue East will remain restricted.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• The east sidewalk on Gervais Drive will remain closed between Eglinton Avenue East and the north driveway of 15 Gervais Drive. 

• Pedestrians will be directed to use the west crosswalk on Gervais Drive.

• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
