**Updated** Overnight Lane Reduction at Weston Rd and Eglinton Ave W for Water Valve Installation November 16 & 17, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews at the Rail Corridor will be installing a new water valve on Weston Road as part of the new utility installations. The installation will take place on Monday November 16 and Tuesday November 17 overnight. Weston Rd, north of Eglinton Ave W, will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the duration of the work. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained.

In order to perform these activities, water will be shut off for properties along Weston Rd, Locust St, and Hollis St between the hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am. Crews will turn water back on as soon as it is safe to do so. Residents are encouraged to store water for domestic use, ahead of the scheduled water shut off.

What to Expect

Water will be shut off to the following properties:  

• 1151 – 1239 Weston Road
• 1156 – 1228 Weston Road
• Hollis Street
• Locust Street

HOURS OF WORK

• Water will be shut off overnight on Monday November 16 and Tuesday November 17 from approximately 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
• Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion
• This work may take longer or shorter than expected

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

• Weston Road, north of Eglinton, will be reduced to one lane in each direction around the workzone
• Northbound and Southbound left turns will be restricted
• There will be no impacts to TTC bus service
