What Work is Taking Place?

To accommodate line painting and the repair of a geotechnical monitor located 6 meters underground in the TTC bus loop at Eglinton West Station, crews will be working during early morning hours (2:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m.) for 1 or 2 days starting April 16th, 2019 to minimize impacts to TTC bus operations and reduce the risk of incident to crew members.

Hours of Work

  • Work is scheduled overnight from 2am-5am on April 16th, 17th, with rain dates of April 17th and 18th.
  • Work may be delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Crews will be using a hydrovac truck to gain access to the monitor and make the repairs.
  • Noise from the operation of the hydrovac truck can be expected.

Transit Access

  • Access to the TTC Eglinton West Subway Station will be maintained at all times.

Travelling Smart during Construction

  • Travel delays are expected with construction. Please allow extra time for your journey.
  • Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during Eglinton Crosstown LRT
  • When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
