What Work is Taking Place?
Through Summer 2022, crews at Leaside Station will continue utility reinstatement and road restoration works on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east and west of Bayview Avenue. Associated construction activities including backfilling, concrete pours, chipping, and asphalt milling and paving will be required to complete this work. This work is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. midnight. To minimize disruption, crews will endeavor to perform noisier works between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
What to Expect
Removal of the existing timber road decking. Backfilling and road restoration upon the completion of the decking removals and utility works. Periodic chipping of concrete at the Main and Secondary Entrances. Chipping is the process of using an excavator and jackhammer to remove concrete and hardened material.
Noise from construction equipment including excavators, trucks, compactors, hammers, and a crane can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
HOURS OF WORK
- Utility reinstatement and road restoration works will continue through Summer 2022
- This work is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. midnight
- Nosier works will be reserved for the period between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- The contractor may not always work during permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
- This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- No changes to the current traffic configuration and/or pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.
