Wet Utility Works at Eglinton Avenue West and Maxwell Avenue - June 25, 2021

On Friday, June 25th, 2021, crews at Avenue Station will perform wet utility works at Eglinton Avenue West and Maxwell Avenue. To safely facilitate this work, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane only at Maxwell Avenue, alternating traffic in each direction. Work will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and take approximately nine (9) hours to complete. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.  

What to Expect

Noise from construction equipment, including a hydro-vacuum truck and excavator, can be expected during this work. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Crews will endeavor to minimize disruption as much as possible. 

Hours of Work

• Friday, June 25, 2021
• As early as 7:00 a.m. for approximately nine (9) hours
• This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances

Traffic Details

• Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane only at Maxwell Avenue, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place 
• The westbound left turn restriction from Eglinton Ave to Colin Ave and Maxwell Ave will remain restricted

• Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place

Pedestrians Details

• No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected because of this work
