What Work is Taking Place?
Crews at Fairbank Station continue to perform large concrete pours. On Tuesday December 22 and Wednesday December 23, crews will be pouring walls within the station box. Work will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and the pour will be ongoing for approximately five hours. Concrete pumps will be placed within the Main Entrance work zone. Concrete trucks will be staged on Dufferin Street, south of Eglinton Avenue West. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while this work takes place.
What to Expect
Concrete trucks will be staged on Dufferin Street. Access to properties along Eglinton Avenue West, Dufferin Street, and Vaughan Road will be maintained. Noise from construction equipment, such as concrete trucks and construction vehicles, can be expected.
HOURS OF WORK
- Tuesday December 22 and Wednesday December 23
- The concrete pours will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and last for approximately five hours
- The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
- This work may be longer or shorter than expected
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Concrete trucks will be staged on Dufferin Street, south of the Eglinton Avenue West
- Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- Periodic sidewalk interruptions – pedestrians will be rerouted to temporary sidewalk
