What Work is Taking Place?
Beginning as early as February 3, 2018, two (2) truck staging lanes will be implemented in the center lanes of Eglinton Avenue East between Forman Avenue and Petman Avenue (see map below).
The lanes will be used to stage construction vehicles to facilitate work at the future Mount Pleasant Station.
Upcoming Traffic Stage
Hours of Work
- Beginning as early as February 3, 2018 for the duration of Mount Pleasant Station construction.
- Permitted hours are 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
What to Expect
- Construction vehicles, such as haul trucks and concrete trucks, staged in the lanes can be expected.
- Noise from trucks can be expected.
- Motorists can expect delays while the staging lanes are being setup.
Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts
- One (1) lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
- North and southbound left turns between Forman Avenue and Petman Avenue will not be permitted.
- No turns will be impacted at the intersections.
- A traffic control person will be utilized to direct traffic as required.
- Access to affected businesses and residential properties will be maintained.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
- There will be no obstruction to TTC services.
- As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
Transit Information
Relocation and re-routing of bus stops is done in consultation between TTC and Metrolinx to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing impact on the community and customers. Please watch for posted notices indicating new information.
