As early as Saturday January 30, 2021 crews at Mount Pleasant Station will perform a major concrete pour within the work zones on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Mount Pleasant Road. The concrete will form one of the permanent station structures underground. To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and take approximately 12 hours to complete.
Concrete trucks will stage on Eglinton Avenue East, Mount Pleasant Road, and within the work zones. Two concrete pumps will be set up at the Secondary Entrance site. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.
What to Expect
Noise from construction equipment including concrete trucks and pumps, can be expected. Several concrete trucks entering/exiting the secondary entrance site every hour, as well as truck staging around the work zones. Eight-plus concrete trucks are expected per hour. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while this work takes place
